A real original, the Caran d'Ache 849 has been in production since 1969, racking up over 15m sales. Tough hexagonal aluminium barrel with the distinctive Caran d'Ache clip and push-button engraved with the Caran d'Ache logo. 

The 849 ballpoint is supplied with a refill that is good for 8,000 metres of writing and will be either blue or black: please contact the Customer Services team if you would like confirmation of the colour.

The 844 mechanical pencil is supplied with 0.5mm lead, and there's an eraser under the push button.
